TeachSTEM Scholarship for Educators

The TeachSTEM Scholarship Program aims to develop and strengthen quality STEM educators who will be champions of STEM in their community and equip future learners to later contribute to nation-building. By empowering educators with rich content knowledge, strong teaching proficiencies and relevant values, the program also aims to improve 21st Century learners and build a STEM-oriented culture among Filipino learners and educational stakeholders.

In partnership with Universal Robina Corporation, the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation promotes sustainable agriculture in the Philippines by offering community-based scholarship programs to the next generation of farmers in the country.

Iskolar ni Juan Tech-Voc Scholarship

GBF grants fully-subsidized one-year scholarship to senior high school graduates who are interested in industrial machine operation. One-year tech-voc training and URC employment offered to underprivileged SHS graduates.

GBF Young Scientist Award Scholarship for Excellence

YSA is a full STEM college scholarship granted to the top winners of Philippine-based STEM competitions. GBF Next Gen Scholarship for Excellence

GBF provides scholarship to outstanding children and siblings of Gokongwei Group Subsidiaries and Affiliates employees. The program allows them to take a course of their choice at any of the colleges and universities nationwide. Juan Community For Resilience

Equally important to GBF's mission is to respond to the needs of our local communities to help them bounce back from crisis. Through Juan Community for Resilience, GBF provided support throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and conducted relief operations immediately after Typhoon Odette's devastation.


STEM Collab Online Community

The STEM Collab Community is a growing online community of teachers of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math who teach in K-12 private or public schools. It is a safe space where teachers can share about their teaching experiences and brainstorm ideas to come up with new knowledge, teaching strategies, and materials.

GBSEALD aims to help elevate education through the formation of educators, educational leaders, policy makers and other learning professionals. Envisioned to be a center of excellence and leadership in education, especially in Science, Math, Reading and Writing, it seeks to be able to contribute in improving educational policy and practice through its graduates.


De La Salle University John Gokongwei, Jr. Innovation Center

JGIC works toward becoming a major hub of multimedia gaming revolution and interactive entertainment in the ASEAN region. GBF aims to provide the future-ready Filipino leaders with the best technical training and education in interactive media and game development, a continuously emerging industry in the digital economy.


Elizabeth Y. Gokongwei Ethnographic Stoneware Resource Center

The resource center located on the fifth floor of the National Museum of Anthropology, is the fruit of a partnership between the National Museum of the Philippines and GBF, with the goal of providing universal access to the knowledge that may be gained from the study approximately 1,000 stoneware and earthenware ceramics from the National Ethnographic Collection.


De La Salle University Gokongwei College of Engineering

The De La Salle University recognized GBF’s endowment by renaming its engineering institution as the Gokongwei College of Engineering in 2011. It is recognized by CHED as a Center of Excellence for Chemical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering programs as Centers of Excellence, and a Center of Development for Computer Engineering.


Ateneo de Manila University John Gokongwei School of Management

The John Gokongwei School of Management has become one of the nation's top management schools, producing first-rate graduates who have moved on to become successful managers and entrepreneurs, leaders, and changemakers in organizations of all sizes in the Philippines as well as abroad.


GBF Technical Training Center

The facility in Calamba, Laguna, is the new home of GBF’s Iskolar ni Juan Tech-Voc program. Furnished with complete state-of-the-art training equipment to be used to better service hundreds of scholars and manufacturing technical workers, the improved facilities would keep the GBF at par with the fast changing technological developments and demands.


DepEd NSTF Sponsorship for Young Scientist Awards

The National Science and Technology Fair (NSTF) is an annual event of the Department of Education (DepEd) where bright young minds gather to present their scientific research and discoveries amid the changing world. Aside from the award, GBF also grants scholarships to the winners to help them pursue a degree in Science, Technology, Mathematics or Engineering at their dream universities in the future.


DOST-SEI Partnership for GBF Young Scientist Awards

GBF and the Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute share the goal of recognizing and empowering young emerging scientists to become future innovators and nation builders. With this partnership, the Foundation will select Young Scientist Awardees from the finalists of the annual imake.wemake: create.innovate.collaborate, a competition for young Filipinos that showcases their creativity and innovation.


STEM Collab Program

Leveraging on DepEd’s Learning Action Cell sessions, GBF supports communities for STEM educators. We piloted STEMCollab, a community for STEM teachers that enables peer-to-peer coaching and social learning.


Project Future

A major thrust of GBF for STEM educators is the establishment of an innovative, scalable, and high-impact professional development program. GBF engaged IDEO, a global pioneer in Design Thinking, to conduct the process of designing the program’s blueprint.
