GBF-Gokongwei Group STEM Scholarship for Excellence

Overview

The GBF-Gokongwei Group STEM Scholarship for Excellence supports outstanding college students in the field of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) who possess good academic record, demonstrate leadership potential and community involvement, and require financial assistance to pursue higher education. Scholars receive a fixed grant amount every academic year until they complete their college degree.

Aside from providing financial assistance, GBF also provides access to scholar development programs, on-the-job training opportunity, and gainful employment. GBF makes this possible by partnering with various Gokongwei Group companies in carrying out the scholarship program.

Eligibility

  • Enrolled in a GBF priority STEM course in one of GBF's partner universities 
  • Has an outstanding academic record with GWA of 85% or 2.0 (or its equivalent) 
  • Top 10% of SHS batch for incoming first year college students only 
  • Exemplifies good moral character and shows active participation and involvement in extra-curricular activities
  • In need of financial assistance

Requirements

1. Proof of Academic Standing 

 For incoming college students 

  • Certified True Copy of Grades - Grade 11 and 12 report card or Form 137 

  • Batch ranking certificate from Grade 12 (if not available, Grade 11 ranking certificate will do) 

  • Proof of enrollment – Admission slip from university for 1st semester school year 2023-2024, or Letter of intent to enroll if not yet available: https://bit.ly/gbfstudentletterofintent2023  

For continuing college students (2nd year and above)  

  • Certified True Copy of Grades from the past 2 consecutive semesters of SY 2022-2023 

  • Proof of enrollment – Certificate of registration for 1st semester school year 2023-2024 or Letter of intent to enroll if not yet available: https://bit.ly/gbfstudentletterofintent2023  
     

2. Good Moral Certificate for A.Y. 2022-2023 

3. Proof of annual household income (submit any of the following documents)  

  • Recently filed 2022 annual income tax return (ITR) 

  • Certificate of Employment with Salary dated April/May 2023 

  • Tax Exemption Certificate dated April/May 2023 from your Residence BIR Revenue District Office 
     

4. Proof of Residence 

  • Photo of residence (full view and with house number) 

  • Proof of billing (Recent 2 months electric or water bill)
