Designed for Key Stage 1 educators, this learning series equips teachers with developmentally appropriate, research-backed strategies to address early numeracy challenges.
With more than 45,000 peak attendees, the webinar series demonstrated the urgent demand for professional development in mathematics instruction.
Each session emphasized practical classroom techniques, such as multi-sensory approaches, manipulatives, and tech-enabled learning to foster engagement and build math confidence among young learners.
Ms. Donna Carmina Castelo, one of the speakers, highlighted the teacher’s pivotal role in remediation: “Teachers make all the key decisions—from identifying which learners need support to choosing the focus, pace, and materials of the lesson. That’s why teachers must be fully equipped.”
Complementing the live webinars, 12 GBF TeachSTEM scholars participated in an exclusive post-session discussion with the speakers.
These in-depth sessions allowed future educators to apply concepts through hands-on activities. As one scholar, Jose, shared: “It was refreshing to realize we share similar struggles as math teachers. The new strategies we learned, especially the multi-sensory ones, will help us engage overstimulated learners more effectively.”

Building on the success of ARAL Series: Master Class on Reading Remediation Strategies in August 2025, which reached almost 210,000 peak attendees, this initiative strengthens GBF’s commitment to quality education and teacher development in line with the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST).
