Through its participation in the nationwide celebrations, GBF brought together partners to recognize teachers for their dedication to shaping the next generation of Filipino learners.
Celebrating Filipino Teachers Across the Country
The month-long celebration kicked off on September 5 at Limketkai Center in Cagayan de Oro City, gathering around 2,000 teachers. This was followed by the September 19 celebration at Tacloban City Convention Center, attended by approximately 3,500 educators. Both events were hosted by DJs from Radio Mindanao Network as part of the collaboration between RMN and GBF.
The celebration culminated on National Teachers’ Day, October 5, at the SMART Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, where around 10,000 teachers gathered for a day of appreciation and entertainment, with GBF’s segment hosted by social media personality Ian Mark Kamangkang, popularly known as the “Pitik Queen.”
At each event, teachers visited the GBF booth, connected with the Foundation’s social media platforms, and received commemorative fans and raffle entries.
Around 45 lucky teachers nationwide received prizes announced onstage, including gift certificates, health cards, home items, e-cash, and round-trip flights with hotel accommodations in top destinations in the country.
These treats were made possible through the support of Cebu Pacific, Robinsons Hotels and Resorts, Maxicare, Robinsons Malls, Go Rewards, Robinsons Movieworld, Robinsons Retail, Robinsons Department Store, and GoTyme Bank.
Bringing National Teachers’ Month to Laguna
GBF also joined the National Teachers’ Month Coordinating Council’s first localized celebration on October 2 at Enchanted Kingdom in Laguna.
The event brought together teachers from different Schools Division Offices across Laguna for a day dedicated to recognizing their contributions. GBF distributed appreciation tokens to teachers as part of the celebration.
But beyond these festivities, GBF continues to support Filipino educators through capacity-building initiatives such as GBF STEM Collab, GBF Class Builder, and TeachSTEM.
By bringing together the Gokongwei Group and its partners, GBF reaffirms its commitment to building the future through education—by recognizing, empowering, and supporting the teachers who help make it possible.
