Thankful Tuesdays: A Digital Appreciation Wall for Teachers
GBF dedicated all Tuesdays of National Teachers’ Month to celebrate educators through Thankful Tuesdays—a digital appreciation campaign that encouraged everyone to express their gratitude to teachers who have made a lasting impact on their lives.
Throughout the month, the GBF Facebook page became a wall of gratitude, filled with over 600 messages of appreciation centered on four themes: values, life lessons, doors of opportunities, and unforgettable moments.
One of the heartfelt messages came from a student reminiscing about her mentor:
“Looking back to my elementary days, I feel truly blessed that God placed you in my life not just as a teacher, but as so much more. You were the first to see and unleash my potential—my talents, my self-confidence, and most of all, my self-trust at a young age.”
A total of 24 individuals—teachers and their nominators—received exclusive gifts from our generous partners Robinsons Supermarket, Handyman, Go Rewards, and GoTyme Bank, as a token of appreciation for their inspiring stories.
#TGIF Teachers: Taking Care of Teachers the GBF Way
GBF recognizes that teaching extends far beyond classroom hours. To support teachers’ holistic wellbeing, GBF STEM Collab produced #TGIF Teachers, a 45-minute livestream show dedicated to helping teachers recharge and care for themselves.
With the “Mars” duo Camille Prats and Suzi Abrera as guests, the show shared practical wellness and travel tips for busy teachers. The program reached over 40,000 viewers, with 16 teachers receiving special tokens from Maxicare, Robinsons Movieworld, Southstar Drug, and Robinsons Hotels and Resorts.
Gokongwei Group for Teachers
As GBF mobilized the Gokongwei Group to take part in this nationwide celebration, various business units expressed their gratitude in their own way. JG Summit Holdings and Cebu Pacific shared messages of appreciation, while True Value and Maxicare extended their support by offering exclusive discounts and perks to teachers.
This unified effort demonstrates how the Gokongwei Group continues to stand behind GBF’s advocacy for education—championing the people who make lifelong learning possible.
Celebrities for Teachers
GBF also collaborated with the entertainment community to amplify the messages of appreciation. Through PEP.ph, well-known personalities such as Julie Anne San Jose, Billy Crawford, Mika Salamanca, Julia Barretto, and James Reid expressed heartfelt tributes to their teachers.
And to cap off the month-long celebration, Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista serenaded more than 12,500 teachers during the National Teachers’ Day Culminating Event held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena last October 6, 2025—a fitting tribute to those who dedicate their lives to shaping the nation’s future.
