GBF grants fully-subsidized one-year scholarship to senior high school graduates who are interested in industrial machine operation. One-year tech-voc training and URC employment offered to underprivileged SHS graduates. Application deadline is on July 14, 2023.

Iskolar ni Juan Tech-Voc Scholarship


In partnership with URC Branded Consumer Foods Group and URC Sugar and Renewables, GBF grants fully-subsidized one-year scholarship to high school graduates who are interested in industrial machine operation. Boarded at the GBF Technical Training Center (TTC), scholars undergo GBF’s signature TESDA-registered courses and earn a Certificate of Completion in either in Mechatronics Servicing or Instrumentation and Controls Servicing. After which, they go through an on-the-job immersion that eventually makes them fit for employment at URC-BCFG as production operator or maintenance technician.

  3. Attend the Iskolar Ni Juan Program Orientation.
  4. Attend the series of assessments and interviews, as scheduled by the program officers.


Full subsidy on allowance and school fees

  • Scholarship for deserving underprivileged youth that strive for quality tech-voc education and employment
  • Inclusive of food, housing, school supplies, and uniform

7 months stay-in at GBF-Technical Training Center in Calamba, Laguna

  • Free dormitory and access to school facilities and equipment
  • 3,300 square meters state-of-the-art training center
  • Hosts 12 industry-standard laboratories, meeting rooms, and classrooms

5 months On-the-Job training at any URC plant

  • Acquire Instrumentation and Control Servicing NC II or Mechatronics Servicing NC II upon passing TESDA assessment
  • Inclusive of OJT allowance

Employment opportunity in URC Plants after the program

  • Employment opportunities: production/machine operator or machine maintenance technician
  • Chance to work in a world-class manufacturing industry


  1. Filipino Citizen
  2. Single, 18-25 years old
  3. Senior High School graduate
  4. No grade lower than 80% in Mathematics and Science
  5. From a family with an annual income not more than Php200,000
