The Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF), in partnership with Shang Properties and Kerry Group Philippines Foundation, donated 74 units of 55-inch televisions to the Schools Division Office of Surigao del Norte to equip classrooms for technology-enabled learning.
The donation is part of the GBF Juan Community for Education, a program that unites key stakeholders to uplift local communities through education-driven initiatives. Through collaboration with partners, schools, and volunteers, the program helps in creating more engaging learning environments for Filipino students to thrive.

The donated televisions will also support the integration of GBF Class Builder, a digital learning platform that provides DepEd-aligned instructional materials, coaching strategies, and certification opportunities for educators. Through the GBF Class Builder platform, teachers gain access to engaging downloadable learning materials like powerpoint slides that can be shown to their class through the TV sets.
Recipient schools include Camboayon Elementary School, Lower Libas Elementary School, Villaflor Elementary School, Villafranca Elementary School, Tagbayani Elementary School, Fabio Elementary School, San Isidro Elementary School in Mainit, Cagtina-e Elementary School, San Isidro Elementary School in Tubod, San Antonio Elementary School, Suyoc Elementary School, and Sapa Elementary School.

Through initiatives like this, GBF continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting learners, empowering educators, and building better opportunities for communities through education.
At GBF, we believe that when schools are equipped with the right tools, resources, and partnerships, learning becomes more meaningful and accessible for every Filipino learner.
