GBF TeachSTEM College Scholarship

The GBF TeachSTEM College scholarship program supports aspiring educators who want to champion STEM in their schools and communities. This scholarship is for pre-service teachers currently taking Education courses focused on STEM.

2.  Qualified applicants will be invited to a live online exam and panel interview. 

Scholars shall receive benefits until graduation from their degree program, subject to compliance with scholarship retention requirements every semester. 

  • Financial Grant (Sent directly to a scholar’s bank account) 

    • State University: ₱45,000 per year 

    • Private University: ₱65,000 per year 

  • Scholar Development Programs   

    • Access to capacity-building programs (e.g., leadership development, upskilling, subject content mastery) 

    • Support from a community of educators 

  1. 1st and 2nd year students taking Bachelor’s degree in education with specialization in STEM-related fields, tech-voc training education.

  1. Enrolled in a college/university with LET performance above 65%.

  1. Minimum 85% General Weighted Average (GWA) or its equivalent from the previous year. No failed, dropped, or incomplete grades in the previous year.

  1. Must be in need of financial support to complete studies.

  1. A resident of Region 8, Region 9, Region 12, Region 13, or BARMM who is willing to teach in a public school school in their community after graduation. 

  1. With good moral standing and no existing disciplinary case. Active in extracurricular or community activities.

  1. Proof of Academic Standing 

  • For Incoming College Students: 

    • Certified True Copy of Grades – Grade 12 Report Card (1st term only if 2nd term is not yet available) 

    • Good Moral Charater (AY 2025-2026) 

    • Notice of Admission or Proof of University Application for AY 2026-2027 (if not available use our templated Letter of Intent to enroll: https://bit.ly/GBFSC-LOI) 

  • For Continuing College Students (2nd year and above):

    • Certified True Copy of Grades – 1st Term AY 2025-2026 (Signed/Certified portal-generated grades are accepted)

    • Registration Form – 2nd/3rd Term AY 2025-2026 

    • Good Moral Character (AY 2025 - 2026) 

 

  1. Proof of Annual Household Income (Submit any of the following documents) 

  • If parent(s) are employed (private/public sector) or self-employed: 

    • Recently filed 2025 Annual Income Tax Return (ITR): Form 2303 (employed) or Form 1701 (self-employed) 

    • Certificate of Employment with Salary (dated 2026) for the parent contributing to household income 

    • Employment Contract with Salary (for Overseas Filipino Workers - OFWs) 

    • Screenshot of January-March 2026 income (for self-employed individuals in ride-hailing services like Grab/Lalamove) 

  • If the family's income depends on a senior parent’s pension: 

    • Proof of Pension 

  • If the parent(s) do not have a regular source of income and are exempt from filing taxes: 

    • BIR Tax Exemption Certificate (To be submitted later upon successful application.)
